Clinical and Administrative Sciences includes the general areas of pharmacy care administration and experimental therapeutics. Dr. Randall Tackett is the Graduate Coordinator.

Pharmacy Care Administration

Graduate work in Pharmacy Care Administration involves the study of the economic, social, behavioral and political aspects of pharmaceutical services. It is an interdisciplinary program which may contain elective course concentrations in

  • business administration,
  • psychology, statistics,
  • political science,
  • and other areas which impact the ethical provision of pharmaceutical care.

The program prepares the student to address the complex socio-political challenges associated with ethical drug consumption, manufacture, distribution, and payment mechanisms.

Clinical Experimental Therapeutics

Clinical Experimental Therapeutics is a multi-disciplinary program which involves the investigation of disease processes and therapeutic regimens for treatment. Current areas of research include:

  • diseases of the cardiovascular system
  • learning and memory
  • immunology
  • renal diseases
  • the efficacy of therapeutic regimens in special populations (e.g., geriatric, women, minority).

The graduate program is designed to develop competencies in experimental therapeutics, an area which plays an important translational role among basic, applied and clinical settings.
