Community Pharmacy
Program Goals
The primary goals of Phoebe's residency program are to train pharmaceutical care generalists and develop future leaders in the practice of pharmacy. Phoebe offers a broad based, in-depth experience designed to develop competent, caring pharmacy practitioners.
Program Structure
Core rotations of the program consist of the following:
- Orientation
- Practice management
- Informatics and automation
- Internal Medicine/Hospitalist Program
- Critical Care
Elective rotations can occur in NICU/pediatrics, oncology, surgery, geriatrics, nutritional support/pharmacokinetics, home infusion, or any of the core rotations (not to exceed four). Other electives may also be arranged at the University of Georgia residency sites around the state.
Residents will present formal lectures and in-services and will complete an original research project, worthy of publication. The results of the project will be presented at the Southeastern Residency Conference.

12 months, beginning July 1
Degree Requirement
Pharm.D., M.S., or equivalent experience
Eligible for Georgia licensure
